My Story

My name is Ashley. My three children and I transplanted to Texas in 2011 by way of Minnesota. And yes, I still have the min-uh-soh-tuh accent, yeah sure ya betcha dontcha know. I have fallen in love with North Texas and the support of Texas business. Through my journey I caught myself a born & bred Texan and his amazing family at a farmers market. It's True!​ We were set up across the isle from each other, selling our products and became great friends.

Fresh Local Marketplace came from seeing a need for fresh produce and a healthy grocery option in Gunter. Our cozy grocery store is 'Fresh Food Focused.' Not only do we carry fresh produce, meats and dairy from local farms & ranches, but we also support Texas artisans.

My hope is that you'll always be greeted with a smiley hello. The big guy is Kyle and occasionally you'll get to meet my boys. We are here to answer all your questions and desire to become your one stop grocery shop.
